Gift Wrapping with a difference this Christmas

  • Monday 18th December
    Sunday 24th December

This Christmas, why not participate in Woodgrove’s charity gift wrapping campaign? For a small gold coin donation, have your gifts wrapped by the friendly team from Melton City Council Youth Services, and all donations will go towards Hope Street’s incredible work with young people in our community.

Hope Street is a specialist youth homelessness service based in the northern and western regions of Melbourne. They deliver programs such as short-term emergency accommodation, outreach support for people aged between 16 and 25, counselling and family reconciliation, advocacy and referral services.

Hope Street also recently announced a new Melton youth refuge, so young people experiencing homelessness or who are at risk of becoming homeless will no longer have to leave the Melton area if they need supported crisis accommodation, allowing them to keep school and social support networks.

Melton City Council Youth Services offer a huge range of programs and events for young people between the ages of 12 -25 including film, drama and music programs, teenage holiday activities and drop–in sessions where young people can hang out in a safe space, meet new friends, engage in fun activities and find out about other services for youth.
