Meet our Buskers

 The Drongo and The Crow

The Drongo And The Crow is a 3-piece band based in the Victorian town of Ballan. With a keen interest in rural history, they specialise in songs that recount our colonial past. Their music celebrates Australia’s shearers, miners, drovers and sailors and the families that supported them. They sing stories of flood, fire, drought and storms to highlight the challenges of earning a living in an unforgiving country.

The Drongo And The Crow features the piano accordion, double bass, drums, didjeridoo, and lots of singing. They are happy playing at street level among passers-by or on the stage.

Their show is popular with kids, who enjoy the lively performance, with their parents who often haven’t heard these songs since primary school, and with grandparents who remember when radio ruled.
